It’s coming up to Valentine’s Day so if you’re not in love with your website, what better time to think about moving on?

We’ve picked out five websites we love and showcased their profiles to give you some inspiration for improving your relationship with your website or ditching it for a brand new one.

ASOS

Location: http://www.asos.com/
Traits:

  • Sociable
  • Eager to please
  • Easy to get along with

ASOS is so social – scroll to the bottom of the homepage and you’ll find icons for Facebook, Twitter, Google +, Pinterest, Instagram, YouTube and Tumblr. Wherever you are, they’ll be there too. It’s easy to find your way around the site and make a purchase, but the most interesting thing is that it takes you where you want to go.

If you click on the link to the Women’s section and then close the page when you revisit the website later by going to the homepage, it remembers where you went last time and you will instead be redirected straight to the women’s section – what a great feature.

First Choice

Location: http://www.firstchoice.co.uk/
Traits:

  • Attractive
  • Lots to offer
  • Flexible

As a holiday website, First Choice needs to be attractive and show off its wares, and that’s exactly what it does. Not only that but there are so many ways you can search and filter holidays, making the website very flexible and responsive to your needs.

Norton

Location: http://uk.norton.com
Traits:

  • Smart
  • Confident
  • Generous
  • Helpful

The Norton website offers a wealth of knowledge in its Learning Centre, and its help resources are easy to find. It’s also generous, currently showing off its latest promotions in full view on the homepage.

Norton has a clear purpose that it communicates strongly on its website – it wants to make you feel protected (and if you use them, you’re in no danger of catching anything).

The Fat Duck

Location: http://www.thefatduck.co.uk/
Traits:

  • Creative
  • Attractive
  • Uncomplicated

The Fat Duck website has a simple design which is beautiful and easy to navigate. The About page is particularly creative, prompting the user to navigate a scene using smooth sideways scrolling and clicking on images to read about Heston Blumenthal’s culinary ideas. All in all, it is very attractive.

Innocent

Location: http://www.innocentdrinks.co.uk/
Traits:

  • Fun
  • Good sense of humour
  • Friendly

The Innocent website is very laid back with a simple design and a lot of fun content that ties in perfectly with its branding. If your business has a friendly and casual air, this website offers some great inspiration for creating an exciting web presence.
